Our Artistic Journey

The journey that shaped Caley's Creations and Collabs began in 2009, surrounded by beads, wire, and pastel-smudged sketchbooks in a sunlit Portland studio. Even before there was a storefront - or a following - Caley felt most at home piecing together handmade jewelry, experimenting with watercolor washes, and letting curiosity guide each creative exploration. Friends and neighbors stopped by, drawn in by the shimmer of chain maille bracelets and the bold strokes of unique paintings. Nearly everyone who saw Caley's work wanted to know if they could bring a piece home. That encouragement planted the first seed for what would blossom into a vibrant art community.

A true turning point arrived years later, during a casual afternoon with a friend. Caley showed off her first plotting machine, not knowing it would open a whole new realm of possibility. That same afternoon, a request for blacklight reactive printing set the wheels in motion for collaborative art projects and helped launch the now-thriving artist collective. Word traveled quickly among local creatives, each new connection building something bigger than any single artwork alone.

Now, over twenty independent small businesses trust Caley to bring their artistic visions to life through commission-based printing or bespoke product runs. Whether crafting one-of-a-kind jewelry or supporting fellow creators through print-on-demand, every piece - and every partnership - grows from that early spirit of encouragement and community. This story continues each day in the company's cozy Portland workspace, where art and collaboration always go hand in hand.

Caley Hohn

Founder, Artist

Every story here traces back to Caley's own journey - a lifelong devotion to making things with heart and hands. As a self-taught artist since 2009, Caley drew inspiration from every encounter, often learning just as much from customers and collaborators as from their own craft. Friends saw the passion in every necklace clasp and brushstroke, nudging Caley to share their art beyond the home studio. What started as a few beaded pieces soon blossomed into paintings, mixed media, and one-of-a-kind jewelry for all tastes and identities. A single request for blacklight reactive printing from a fellow creative became the spark that ignited a community-first vision: supporting artists through direct commissions, giving local creativity a national stage, and championing unique work over mass production. Today, Caley remains the guiding force behind every collection and collaboration - always bringing joy, advocacy, and a personal touch to their art, business, and growing creative family.
